A B O U T

It's an annual celebration every Midsummer's Day to say a big thanks to those dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people with needs - and to get the message across of the importance of social inclusion. This day is a chance for those working in the care, voluntary and third sector to shout it out loud and proud about the great work they do around the year.

Blasting off in Llanelli, we're pushing this event over the next few years, taking it national - and anyone across the UK can always join in and plant a seed of celebration in their own communities!

SO, WHO'S INVOLVED?

You're welcome to come and join us at any Big Day event. Whether you're an individual or an organisation, you've probably got many talents, abilities, resources and contacts to contribute something special and join us on the 'home ground' – or even start The Big Day in your own community!

We're looking for Big Day ambassadors all over the UK, and over the next few years we'll be building the event to be as BIG as possible, with the media covering the event around the country (the only limit is 24 hours!)

WHY NOT JOIN US?

We're a group of charities, service providers and other third sector organisations that want to raise awareness of the problems that many people face around social inclusion. So many of us are alienated and isolated in our communities due to physical or mental health problems, disability and other complex needs. We all have a vision to stop this, and we're focusing our intent around one day in the year when all of us can help to shed light on the problems - while celebrating all those people in our communities who are making a real difference.

WHAT'S SO BIG ABOUT THIS DAY?
